I found out the news of my sister in law's 2nd pregnancy while I was driving to work at 6:35 this morning from my husband. I almost hit someone's car's bum-bum when he told me she's expecting twins, about 6 weeks along. Yes, twins are not uncommon, I know that but I wouldn't expect twins in our family, at least his side of family. Well, as it turns out, her side of family has a history with twins. So mak makan hati nyah. I've been wanting to get pregnant since like..last year but we're not in that stage yet..I'd like to be considerate of my husband, who's the primary breadwinner who also is trying to finish up his Master on time. But people around me get pregnant left and right and I AM jealous.

So, I just have to be a little more patient. Just a tad bit..it won't hurt right?

tak per sweetie, when we see each other on hometurf, you come rub my belly ok.
all good thnigs come your way in its own good time..dont worry

Our very first wedding anniversary

They said, the first year was the hardest but we survived it. We went to Number 5, the supposedly "premiere restaurant in the Southern Tier for many, many years." Our dear friend had given us a very late wedding gift: the gitftcard. We enjoyed the foods very much and were complimented with Brown Sugar Banana with vanilla ice cream for dessert. Though it was not like getting proposed following the 4 course dinner at the Antares Restaurant atop Reunion Tower in Dallas, it still was the 2nd best thing in this area.

And I'm excited to visit Msia in May. Only a few more weeks 'til the trip and I'm giving Steve a crash course on Bahasa Melayu. So far he knows to say:

Saya lapar
Saya suka makan ayam
Saya suka makan dada ayam only
Saya suka minum air
Saya tidak suka makan fishy --ada ke patut?
Tandas
Roti
Solat

Nampak gaya I have to work harder before kami jumpa my relatives.

Hello Ame! thanks for visiting my blog and... Happy Anniversary!

Which one is the nicest for a July 4th wedding at the Bryn Athyn Cathedral? Rule of thumb: I've got to have that white cardigan.

i like the blue one the best..but the orange one is nice too. have to see you in them though, baru boleh pilih Fri 11-Apr-2008 18:33

It's never too much bling
My visit with a gynae went very well. She reminds me of my aunt L; tall, medium curly hair, and firm handshake. Any of you preggers out there knows when I should start taking a prenatal vitamin? Prior or during pregnancy? Anywho, she said as soon as I get the +ve result, I need to ring her right away. I can't wait!!

Assallammualaikum

Dah lama kak Mei tak ronda-ronda kat FP. Biasala bila ada baby - sibuk ler sket. Ingatkan Ame dah bercuti kat Malaysia? Blom lagi la ye? Kak Mei balik masa summer break - probably end June (just a month visit). Hmmm kalau sama balik buleh Ame & hubby attend kenduri aqiqah Adam.

Kak Mei makan prenatal vitamin when I decided to get pregnant esp - folic acid. Its good for you, pastu memacam lagi la vitamin bila dah pregnant, kan. Hey -Happy Trying ! Good luck girl

BTW - nice blink-blink ....kak Mei memang blink-blink supporter

babes, prenatal at all times, even if you dont plan to get pregnant till much later..women are generally low in folic acid so pre-natal is way better than taking multi-vits!
good luck on getting knocked up!

Kak Mei = balik Msia in may for 3 weeks.. balik US on 6/12 so memang tak sempat nak jumpa the Frenchs lah. Kami nak buat kenduri doa selamat/tahlil kecilan aje. Dok KL for a week aje kot.

Ms J = she prescribed PrimaCare for 4 months, it will cost me 25 bucks after Rx deduction. Regular multi vit takde semahal tu kot...perhaps generic prenatal vit is cheaper than PrimaCare? September...please come soon!

My 'baby'

I felt like bragging about my new 'baby', KitchenAid Pro 5 Plus stand mixer but I'll let the pics do the job. Yes I know, y'all out there might have gotten it ages ago but I'm just finally getting started to picturing myself spending some time baking cuppy, cake, etc. while baking a 'bun' in the oven in a few months.

I've been shopping spree for the last couple of weeks. Winter sale and year end clearance sale are the best time to stock up my wardrobe collection. So far this year, I've bought 2 boxes of SJP Lovely Perfume gift set (in which one will be given to SIL as her b'day present), 1 pair of Sam & Libbey bronze flats, 15 new VS undies , 1 little GAP red dress for our friend's wedding on July 4th, 2 pairs of Ann Taylor LOFT boot cut jeans, winter scarfs, and Old Navy baby shirts for my new cousin in Malaysia. Oh I'm not even close to being done so watch me out world.

A Joyous 2008

Happy New Year 2008!

Mr. Husband is planning a trip to NYC for the weekend. We'll drive to $ecaucus, which is about 3 hours drive from our house, and leave our car at the hotel parking lot and head to the Big Apple. We don't have any plan to drive in the city, trust me, you do not want to do that. We'll stay overnight at the hotel and head home on Sunday afternoon. I've been wanting to go to the Big Apple since last year but wedding planning and honeymooning, house buying & moving & renovating took much of our time. The main & only reason is to go eat at a Malaysian restaurant and John's Pizza*ria. May is just a little too far away yet.

Speaking of Malaysia, Mr. Husband and I will be visiting Malaysia for 3 weeks in late May. We plan to stay in KayEll for about 4 days, and off to Cameron* Highlands for 3-4 days. We then will head up north to spend some time with Tok Mek in Kelantan*. Mr. Husband will get his daily dose of living in a village for about 2 weeks. It'll be a fun adventure for him. I also want to visit with ex-schoolmates from highschool, and their husbands and children. I have planned so many things to do and places to go. Oh and we'll be flying with MAS. I know, for the last 2 flights since June 2003 with them, I didn't have a good experience flying. Hopefully, this time around will be different. They tend to treat foreigners a little 'nicer' , but I'll have Mr. Husband with me, so we'll see if there's any difference in treatment.

There might be a little bit of problem here. Thing is I have not requested leave from work yet. It's going to be close to 4 weeks, I'm not too sure how my manager is going to take it or react to it. I really need to do it really soon. The sooner the better.

hey there again. I've stopped flying MAS ever since we moved back to the US. For the past 5 years, we would go back to Msia once a year and we would always fly with SIA. They are great!!! Plus their non-stop flight to Spore saves us a few hours traveling time (with a 3 years old, the few hours really help a lot) Mon 10-Mar-2008 18:34

I wanted to wear my wedding gown again. I wanted to wear it everyday. I wanted to relive the event. I didn't get to eat much that day because I was too worried if my guests had enough foods to eat; if there were even enough foods for everyone; if they had a great time, not just good; if they liked the songs I personally chose; if they liked the flowers. I picked the menu myself but I didn't feel the hunger to eat. I didn't get to taste our wedding cake because the servers were too busy cleaning up tables. They didn't wait for the bride to taste her cake. Her damn expensive cake!

And my gown?! Oh that gorgeous simple strapless gown by Jim Hjelm. I waited 6 months for the gown to be completed. Another 2 months for alteration. And I only got to wear it for 5 hours! FIVE. F.I.V.E. I felt very pretty in it. It took Mom only a day to make my veil. She was anxious. I'm the only child. Their child.

So yes, I wanted to wear my wedding gown again. Badly.

note: it's been preserved in a tight air-seal box.

hye there...im so sorry bcause it might take a while for the tailor to tell me the total price as they are really busy until the end of this month before they start again. But i will email you the soonest i can.ok. Mon 19-Nov-2007 08:58

A womanly update

I know, it's been awhile. I stop taking pictures hence no pictures to post. Work is the same ol' same ol' except for today's 'drama' with a fellow coordinator. I would like to think that I'm a nice human being. A good team player. A good friend. Oh and a bitch, too if you wish.

Anywho, we have decided to start trying around fall-winter of next year so our offspring will be due for delivery in late summer or early fall in 2009 since Mr. Husband will be done with his Master study in May 09. Our friends are also planning for next summer. This way, we all can have mommie-and-me playdate or playgroup. My parents have been longing for grandchildren for awhile now. I get so excited just by thinking about it.

Oh, Mr. Husband and I went to get lunch at $am's club today and as I was telling him while crying and wiping away my tears, about the 'drama' that involved me in it, he felt very bad that I had such a bad day, he decided to buy me a blinkadink that I've been eyeballing for so long. Of course, this will cover the Christmas, our First Wedding Anniversary, and 27th Birthday.

Okay, that's it for now. Oh to those who will think that I'm a true show off, surely I am. Afterall, this is my account, I'm pleased and allowed to write, brag, show off, what have you here. Or save a headache - close this page.

hon, i wanna see your blinkadink! Wed 7-Nov-2007 13:49

congratulation !!
re : about Raya who we follow ... it depends which masjid that you go to. If your masjid follow ISNA, then it would be on Saturday. Our Masjid follow Mecca... it does make sense since Mecca is ahead of us. Definitely we do not follow Malaysia
